What is the validity of a PTE Academic score?

For general university admissions, your PTE Academic score report is valid for 2 years from the test date. However, for Australian immigration purposes, the Department of Home Affairs recognizes PTE scores for up to 3 years.

 PTE is scored on a scale of 10 to 90 points using Pearson’s global scale of English. You receive an overall score alongside detailed communicative skill scores for Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking.

 Yes, you can request a rescore within 14 days of your results being made available. However, because PTE uses automated systemic AI scoring, it is highly unlikely that your overall score will change.

There is no limit on the number of attempts. You can book a fresh test slot as soon as you receive your scores from a previous attempt, provided your new test date is scheduled at least 5 days after the prior one.
